PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE FOR BEGINNERS:

Michael has come across a need for workshops to teach those less knowledgeable in photography and in the use of their cameras. This course is perfect for the complete beginner. Have you recently purchased a lovely new Digital SLR? You’ve looked at all the buttons and controls on the camera and its menu and think….”I wish I knew how to use all of this?” Well, let Michael help you. A taylor made course has been put together to help you gain great results from your camera, as well as help you develop your skills so you can get really creative! 

PLEASE TAKE NOTE!! DUE TO THE ARRIVAL OF MICHAEL'S BABY SON, HE IS AT PRESENT NOT DOING GROUP COURSES ON WEEKENDS. HOWEVER, HE IS STILL AVAILABLE FOR "ONE-ON-ONE" SESSIONS, BOTH WEEKENDS OR WEEKDAY.

One-on-one courses follow the outline below. Please contact Michael if you're interested in a one-on-one course him! (A MAX of two people if you're a couple)

The 1 on 1 course consists of the following schedule and content: 

9am – 4:30pm: 

1. Introductions – What type of photography do you like and what inspires you? 
2. Understanding your camera – looking at the settings and menu options 
3. What type of Lens should I be using and focus points? 
4. Understanding Light:
     - What is the Exposure Triangle (Aperture/Shutter Speeds/ ISO) 
     - Depth of Field 
     - White Balance 
5. Black and white photography – Helpful tips 

 6. Practical Lesson outdoors/indoors location - Jumeirah Madinat

 7. Evaluation of images and basic critique of photos taken 

8. Basic Photoshop skills to help correct and enhance your photos - A TRIAL VERSION OF ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS4 WILL BE AVAILABLE TO DOWNLOAD ONTO  YOUR LAPTOP.

Course Requirements:
Anyone can take part in this course. If you’re under the age of 18 you must have parental or a guardian’s permission to take part.

• Your must have a digital SLR and at least one lens
• A laptop to download and learn Photoshop on , as well as a notebook and pen to take down your own notes.

Numbers of Students:
One-one-one courses only at present (MAX of two if you're a couple)

Where: 
The course will take place at Michael's studio/apartment in Jumeirah Lake Towers - full details given when booking or Michael can come to your own home for your convenience.

Conditions of Bookings:
To confirm your booking a deposit of Dhs300/person is required. Unfortunately, Michael is unable to take credit cards, but is happy to collect or have you drop 
deposits off at his studio. This deposit is non refundable if you do not turn up for the course, but is transferable to another date if changed within 48 hours of the 
courses start date and time.
 
Cost: 
The cost of the  workshop is Dhs595/person. (one-on-one is the same price)
